In conjunction with the 12th Annual Hope For The Warriors Celebrity Invitational, the Mad Boar Restaurant & Pub will host a community block party to kick off the annual event Saturday, August 14.

Open to the public, the family-friendly party will feature live music by The Johnson Boys and a raffle. In addition, World Series champions Johnny Bench and Doug Flynn, actor John Ashton, TV host Kelly Edge and singer/songwriter Dillon Dixon will all be on hand for autographs. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music starting at 8 p.m.

Held in Wallace, N.C., at River Landing Country Club and the surrounding businesses, the multi-day Hope For The Warriors Celebrity Invitational golf tournament focuses on building a deeper understanding and appreciation between the military and civilian communities by playing host to local military and civilian community members and celebrities.

With the continued support of the Murphy family and the River Landing community, the Hope For The Warriors Celebrity Invitational has raised over $1.5 million since 2010.
